HI Photography Students,
Welcome to Lesson 3!
This week we are going to talk about camera angles, but first a bit about keeping things simple.
SIMPLICITY
Keep in mind that simplicity is the key to most good pictures. The simpler and more direct a picture is, the clearer and stronger is the resulting statement, the easier to find the focal point
Now, let's talk about camera angles.
Eye-Level Shots
With the camera held horizontal, eye-level shots are usualIy made at a height of about 5 1/2 feet, the height from which the average adult sees, and with the camera horizontal. This (almost) eye level shot shows the camera in line with the mama goose, but also is a bit of a "birds eye" as it is looking down on the baby gosling.

Low Viewpoint and Low Camera Angle (Bug's Eye)
Shooting from the ground looking up. Do you see how looking up in this shot adds to the magnificence of the cathedral.

I want you to try this out. Remember your first shot may not be your best. Take a few before deciding which ones to turn in:).
