Biblical Fine Arts - Photography - Lesson 3
Hi Biblical Photographers,
Welcome to Lesson 3!
Here are your passages for this week:
Psalms 23
"The Lord is my Shepherd;
there is nothing I lack.
In green pastures you let me graze;
to safe waters you lead me;
you restore my strength.
You guide me along the right path
for the sake of your name..."
and
"Jesus said: I tell you for certain that I am the gate for the sheep. (8) Everyone who came before me was a thief or a robber, and the sheep did not listen to any of them. (9) I am the gate. All who come in through me will be saved. Through me they will come and go and find pasture." - John 10:7-9
Both of these passages give us the example of how Our Lord helps lead and guide us down the right path... the path towards Heaven. Think about that path. There is a story called Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan that shares with some symbolism some of the things that can happen along the path towards Heaven. There is also a book called My Path Toward Heaven by Geoffrey Bliss, S.J.. that includes some very intense illustrations for younger readers.
This week, I want you to think about your path towards Heaven. Think about what it would be like to walk a path towards Heaven. What would it be like? Will your path be a straight line? Curvy? Zigzagged? Will it be like a maze with dead ends? Will it be like a spiral? What will happen along the way? Will you be baptized? Will you get married? What type of job might you have? Will you be traveling in a circle or closer toward Christ as you go?
Biblical Photography Assignment #3:
1. For your project, please photograph two photos that represent part of your path so far and two photos that represent something that you see in your path towards Heaven in the future.
I hope you have fun with the project!
Peace be with you,
Mrs. G.
